Braintronic successfully restored more than 50 abandoned air dryers across Sri Lanka, transforming machines that had been left idle, corroded, or dismantled into fully operational units. Many of these dryers had no remaining chassis, missing internal systems, or severe damage caused by years of neglect and exposure to the elements.
One of our most extensive projects was at Galahitiya Tea Factory, where we restored multiple abandoned dryers, including old NANTA, Hunshign, and Ling Hein models. These machines had been considered beyond repair, with missing frames and destroyed internal systems. Our team fabricated brand-new chassis, rebuilt electrical circuits, and replaced cooling systems, ultimately bringing them back to life.
We also completed multiple restorations at Springwood Tea Factory, carried out full dryer rebuilding at Fortune Tea Factory, and undertook mechanical and electrical overhauls at Dulli Ella and Ekvin Tea Factories.
These are only a few examples of the many successful projects we completed, showcasing Braintronic’s capability to handle even the most technically demanding air dryer restorations. Each repair not only saved factories from the high cost of importing new equipment but also extended the service life of existing assets by many more years.
Restoring abandoned air dryers presented some of the most demanding challenges we had faced, including:
These conditions meant that every restoration required a custom-engineered solution, precise fabrication, and careful calibration.
Testimonial – Galahitiya Tea Factory
“Braintronic carried out one of the most remarkable restoration projects we have ever seen. Several of our abandoned air dryers were thought to be beyond repair, with missing parts and completely corroded chassis. Their team rebuilt the machines from the ground up, fabricating new frames, replacing systems, and rewiring everything from scratch. Today, these dryers work as efficiently as brand-new units. Braintronic not only saved us from huge replacement costs but also proved their unmatched expertise in engineering restoration.”
The abandoned air dryers were restored to full working order, achieving the same performance standards as newly installed machines. Each unit was tested under factory operating conditions and calibrated to deliver reliable drying capacity, stable dew points, and energy-efficient operation.
This project demonstrated Braintronic’s capability to transform even completely neglected equipment into dependable assets, saving factories significant replacement costs.
