Efficient air distribution systems were critical to the performance and longevity of compressed air systems used in tea factories. Braintronic specialized in the design and installation of GI (Galvanized Iron) pipeline fittings for air compressors, air filling tanks, and air dryers—ensuring optimal airflow, minimal leakage, and long-term reliability.

GI pipelines were chosen for their durability, resistance to corrosion, and strength to handle industrial air pressure. In tea factories, where compressed air systems played a vital role in sorting, drying, and packaging processes, a well-installed GI pipeline system was more than just a utility—it was an infrastructure upgrade.

Braintronic undertook pipeline fitting both inside and outside factory premises, depending on the plant layout and operational flow, ensuring that air delivery systems remained efficient, well-protected, and easy to maintain. Below are only a few of our doings.

• Nandana Tea Factory – Complete GI pipeline layout for compressors, air tanks, and dryers.

• Attampitiya Tea Factory – Streamlined installation of pipelines inside and outside the plant, improving airflow consistency and accessibility for maintenance.

The Challenge in Installation

• Congested Machinery Spaces: Most factories had limited room with compressors, dryers, and other equipment tightly packed. Routing pipelines precisely to avoid obstructions was essential.
• Heat and Poor Ventilation: High temperatures in compressor rooms required careful planning to prevent expansion issues and protect pipelines from heat-sensitive areas.
• Shared Equipment Zones: Integrating pipelines alongside mechanical and electrical infrastructure without disrupting factory operations demanded coordination and technical expertise.
• Uneven Floors and Outdated Layouts: Older factories had uneven floors and walls. Custom clamps, elevated frames, and adjustable supports were used to ensure proper alignment.
• Safety and Aesthetics: Running pipelines across work zones could create hazards. Braintronic used underground routes, overhead layouts, and wall-mounted clamps to ensure safety while keeping the installation visually clean.

Braintronic transformed our air system layout completely. The pipelines were installed neatly, pressure flow improved significantly, and the mechanical room is now organized and professional. Their technical skill and attention to detail were impressive.
