Our engineering team successfully completed several AMD rice color sorter repair projects across Sri Lanka, restoring machines to their original accuracy and efficiency. Each project was carried out with a focus on minimizing downtime while ensuring reliable and long-lasting performance. The repairs included detailed inspections, replacement of worn-out components, calibration of optical systems, and software adjustments to bring the sorters back to peak productivity.
These are only a few of our doings: at Daham Rice Mill, Anamaduwa Rice Mill, and Thilina Rice Mill, we handled a variety of repairs such as control board servicing, correcting camera alignment, feeder adjustments, LED replacements, and touch screen restorations. Each intervention ensured that the AMD rice color sorters were fully restored, giving factory owners renewed confidence in their equipment.
One of the main challenges we faced when repairing AMD rice color sorters was dealing with machines that had been in continuous use for several years without preventive maintenance. This led to multiple system issues occurring simultaneously, such as feeder errors, unstable communication boards, malfunctioning touch screens, and misaligned sensors. Each fault required careful diagnostics to ensure the repairs addressed not just the visible problems but also any underlying technical weaknesses.
Another challenge was the availability of parts. Original AMD spares were not always accessible within short timeframes, which meant that we had to engineer reliable alternatives on-site. Our team adapted quickly, fabricating and integrating compatible solutions without compromising performance or durability. Despite these difficulties, the projects were completed on schedule, and production lines were able to continue operating with minimal disruption.
"Our AMD rice color sorter had been giving us repeated trouble, with frequent breakdowns and declining accuracy. Braintronic’s team carried out the repairs efficiently and restored the machine to excellent working condition. Since then, we have been able to run our milling process smoothly and without interruptions."
By the completion of these projects, the AMD rice color sorters were fully restored to stable, accurate, and reliable performance. The repairs eliminated frequent stoppages, improved sorting precision, and gave the factories greater efficiency in their rice production lines. Factory owners reported significant improvements in both product quality and production output.
